Dr. Christopher Kelley, D.C.

Dr. Christopher Kelley grew up in the Sacramento area raised with a chiropractic lifestyle being the son of Dr. Gary Kelley. He had a special appreciation for developing an active lifestyle as a young child participating in ice hockey, baseball, wakeboarding and golf. Dr. Chris knows from firsthand experience just how valuable chiropractic care can be for those trying to live that same lifestyle. As an avid sportsman, sports were fun and rewarding, but also took a toll on Dr. Chris’ body through numerous sports related injuries. Without the care of a Chiropractor, he would not have been able to compete.

Dr. Chris completed his undergraduate study at California State University Sacramento and received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Southern California University of Health Sciences.

While attending the chiropractic doctorate program, he attended a chiro-mission trip to Haiti and Dominican Republic after the devastating earthquake. Dr. Chris worked closely with 8 other students and 10 practicing doctors caring for over two thousand locals during the time there. During his internship at SCUHS, Dr. Chris worked closely with a distinguished chiropractor in Orange County who specialized in sports chiropractic. Today, his knowledge and experience has allowed himself to work with professional athletes and celebrities such as:

  • Urijah Faber (UFC)
  • Antonio Brown (NFL)
  • Paige Van Zant (UFC)
  • Cody Garbrandt (UFC champion)
  • Anthony “Showtime” Pettis (Former UFC champion)
  • Phil “CM Punk” Brooks(WWE/UFC)
  • Mark Ballas (DWTS)
  • many more....

Dr. Chris was surprised to discover that being a student was almost as hard on his body as being an outdoor enthusiast, soon he found that studying and listening to lectures for hours a day made his body stiff and sore, causing even more problems than when he was active. As a chiropractor in Roseville, Dr. Chris can help people overcome these same problems from long hours sitting behind a desk.

It is Dr. Chris’ goal that every patient that is treated has a clear understanding of what is wrong and how we as a team will be able to obtain optimal function and achieve a higher quality of life. His patients’ range from infants to the golden aged, and weekend warriors to professional athletes, with a variety of problems and concerns. We can also provide information about improving your diet, creating a healthier workplace, and increasing the overall quality of your health. Dr. Chris teaches his patients about obtaining optimal health through chiropractic, exercise, and nutrition.

Dr. Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He most enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle through exercising, golfing, or wakeboarding.

Dr. Shannon McIlnay, D.C.

Dr. Mac grew up with chiropractic being a big part of her life.  With her dad as a chiropractor and her first adjustment as a newborn this is where she was meant to be.  Growing up in a chiropractic family, health and wellness was always very important to her and what led her to continue in this field.  After finishing her undergraduate requirements at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Dr. McIlnay graduated in December of 2007 from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, receiving high honors and the title of Salutorion with the second highest GPA in her class.

Since a young age pregnancy and pediatric care was always of great interest to her.  This passion never changed even while pursuing a career in chiropractic.  While in school she started attending seminars through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association to get extra training in chiropractic care for pregnancy, pediatric, and post-partum.  Through the last 7 years of being in practice she has continued going to over 150 hours of these seminars furthering her knowledge in this specialty.  This passion for working with pregnancy, newborns, and pediatrics is what led her to having such a successful practice working with this specialized group.  Many pregnant moms are finding great relief from headaches/neck pain to lower back/sciatic, or pubic symphysis pain.  They are also excited to keep their pelvis mobile and balanced to help with labor and delivery.  It’s always about the body functioning at the highest potential!  This is easier seen through the treatment of the babies and children, where adjustments help with the overall function of the.  With this we see a change in nursing/latch issues, colic, “acid reflux”, constipation, poor sleeping, etc based on how well the body is functioning as a whole.   Adjustments are different on babies and children than how performed on adults.  It is very gentle and easy with most adjustments occurring while in the parents arms, nursing, or in Dr. Mac’s arms for a short bit.

Dr. Mac is also Webster Technique certified which is a specific chiropractic sacral analysis and diversified adjustment. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation/ SI joint dysfunction. In so doing neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis is facilitated.  In other words, this adjustment helps to maintain proper pelvic function to allow for baby and mom to be in the best possible position possible for delivery (ideally baby head down and left occiput anterior).  Balancing the pelvis has allowed many baby’s that are breech or transverse to turn on their own due to the increased space available to them when the body is balanced properly.  Dr. Mac just wants to help you have a very enjoyable pregnancy!

Dr. Mac’s passion and care for her patients whether pregnant, pediatric, post-partum, male, female, car accident injury, or just normal life issues radiates throughout the office.  She loves helping those whether in pain or those wanting to keep their bodies strong and healthy.

You may see Dr. Mac around as she loves spending time outdoors with her husband and two boys.  She loves camping, hiking, and good food!
